The Visitor Band
is an American heavy metal band. Formed in 2007, the band is a supergroup featuring vocalizer Neil Fallon (of Clutch), guitarists James A. Rota (of Fireball Ministry) and Dave Bone, bassist Brad Davis (of Fu Manchu), and drummer Jess Margera (of CKY and Viking Skull). The group was formed by Margera, who enlisted the individual musicians. Initially featuring Jason Diamond of Puny Human on bass, the ring released its debut extended play (EP)
Sign Hither, Here, and Here
in 2008.

After Diamond was replaced by Davis, the group recorded its debut full-length studio album,
The Company Ring, which was released in 2009. After a few years of inactivity due to the members’ other projects, The Company Band returned in 2012 with its second EP,
Pros & Cons. Since and then, there have been very few updates regarding the time to come of the ring.

History

2007–2009: Germination and offset releases

[edit]

The Company Ring was start announced in March 2007, when CKY and Viking Skull drummer Jess Margera informed MTV that he had formed an every bit-yet untitled supergroup with Clutch frontman Neil Fallon and Fireball Ministry building guitarist James A. Rota.[ane]
Margera noted that the band had its first rehearsal together in Feb 2007, offering the following explanation most his idea to grade it:

I was on a flying back from Germany, and I was looking at my iPod, and I looked at my top 10 listing or any, and it was just like Clutch, Puny Human, Fireball Ministry, Led Zeppelin. And then I called everybody but Led Zeppelin, for obvious reasons, because I was recording in my domicile studio. I just invited them all upwardly to my house, and we worked on two or 3 songs. That turned into 5 songs, then eight, 10, and now we accept 12 songs.[1]

The drummer later on explained that he met Rota on bout, who suggested enlisting guitarist David Bone, at which point the 3 presented the idea to Fallon.[2]
The band – which was rounded out by bassist Jason Diamond of Puny Human being – chop-chop recorded its debut extended play (EP) at Grandmaster Recorders in Hollywood, California with producer Andrew Alekel.[iii]
The result,
Sign Here, Here, and Here, was released in early 2008, initially every bit a digital download only and later on CD.[4]
It was later released on vinyl in 2009.[5]
On Feb nine, the band performed live on the 24-hour
Jackass
takeover special, held in Times Square, New York Urban center.[4]

In late 2008, Diamond was replaced by Fu Manchu bassist Brad Davis and the group began working on its debut full-length album.[6]
The album was recorded in 2009 in Los Angeles, again with Alekel producing, and was issued past Restricted Release in November; it was preceded by the release of a single for the rails “Information technology’south a Confusing World”.[7]
